Born on February 16, 1984, in Kamchatka, in the far east of Russia, Sanya, as he’s known to friends, might have become a fisherman. Instead, he began skiing from an early age, after school, drawing and soccer.
His father is his hero, while his wife is the person who has most influenced him. He likes to read, take pictures and play the guitar. He also plays other sports, such as tennis and soccer; he loves pasta and punk rock, but he listens to country music by Jack Johnson to relax. Sooner or later, he wants to travel around Iceland.
